At OutServe Window Cleaning, being part of the local community means far more than simply offering a service. It means actively supporting the people, schools, organisations, and venues that make our communities strong, safe, and connected.
Today (08/05/2026), we had the privilege of delivering the prizes from our recent community competition to both Brookfield Primary School and our competition winner, Andrew Boulton.
The event was a fantastic example of how local businesses and local residents can work together to make a genuine difference within the community.
Supporting Safety at Brookfield Primary School (Lime Grove, Swinton, South Yorkshire)
Brookfield Primary School was nominated by local resident and competition winner Andrew Boulton to receive a LifeVac device — a potentially life-saving piece of emergency equipment designed to help in choking situations where traditional methods may not be effective.
This donation represents much more than simply providing a device. It is about helping improve safety, raising awareness, and supporting the people who care for children every single day.
The LifeVac device is:
Simple and easy to use
Suitable for both adults and children
Portable and ready for emergency situations
Designed without the need for batteries or electricity
By donating this device to Brookfield Primary School, we hope to provide additional reassurance for staff, parents, carers, and pupils alike.
Schools are environments where safety is absolutely essential, and having the right equipment available during emergencies can make a critical difference when every second matters.
Congratulations to Andrew Boulton
We would also like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to Andrew Boulton, who won the robotic lawn mower worth £450 during the competition.
Rather than simply entering for himself, Andrew chose to nominate Brookfield Primary School to receive the LifeVac device — a gesture that reflects exactly what community spirit is all about.
His involvement helped raise awareness around emergency preparedness in schools and demonstrated how local residents can positively impact the wider community through small but meaningful actions.
Competitions like this are only possible because of the incredible support we receive from the local community, and we genuinely appreciate every person who entered, shared the competition post, nominated venues, or helped spread awareness.
Building Safer Communities Together
At OutServe Window Cleaning, we are passionate about doing more than cleaning windows.
Alongside providing reliable, professional exterior cleaning services throughout Rotherham, Doncaster and surrounding areas, we are working hard to help build safer communities through practical support and community-focused initiatives.
All OutServe vans are equipped with:
AEDs (defibrillators)
First aid kits
LifeVac devices
This means that if we are ever first on scene at an emergency within the community, we may be able to assist before emergency services arrive.
We strongly believe local businesses can play a positive role far beyond the services they provide, and over the coming months we hope to continue donating LifeVac devices, supporting local organisations, and helping improve community safety wherever possible.
Why Community Competitions Matter
Community competitions are about much more than prizes.
They help:
Encourage local engagement
Raise awareness around important causes
Support schools, venues, and organisations
Strengthen relationships within the community
Reward people who actively contribute locally
One of the most positive outcomes from this competition has been identifying local venues that could genuinely benefit from access to emergency choking equipment.
By continuing to donate LifeVac devices to suggested locations, we hope to improve access to life-saving equipment throughout the community and encourage more conversations around emergency preparedness.
Looking Ahead
The delivery of the prizes to Brookfield Primary School and Andrew Boulton represents another important step in our ongoing commitment to supporting the local community.
We hope this initiative encourages other local businesses, organisations, and residents to think about the positive impact they can make within their own communities — whether through donations, volunteering, sponsorships, or simply helping others where possible.
When communities work together, even small actions can create lasting positive change.
